The Mayor, Javier López Estrada, has received the representatives of Torrelavega who have taken part in the 10th European Police and Fire Brigade Games and who have won a total of 17 medals: Luis Arraez, Carlos Lamadrid, Ángel Lamadrid and Pedro Cuadrado and Ismael Abascal, who competed alongside their colleagues in the Canine Unit, Asgar and Turco. The reception was also attended by the councillors for Safety, Pedro Pérez Noriega, and Sports, Nacho González, who congratulated them on their brilliant results.
‘We are very proud of their participation’ and that Torrelavega has “involved” police and firefighters with “great preparation”, as reflected in the results they have achieved, stressed the mayor.
The councillor for Security and Police also celebrated the ‘good results achieved by the municipal representation’. This ‘shows that they train a lot, that they spend a lot of time preparing and that they are responsible in their work’.
