El oficial de policía local Rubén Colchero representa a Calatayud en los Juegos

Esta es la segunda vez que este natural de Calatayud compite en este evento, que atrae a más de 3,000 participantes.

Compitió en 2024 y regresó de Braga con tres medallas: oro, plata y bronce, en el duatlón, triatlón y media maratón.

Colchero is entered in seven disciplines. On Saturday morning he will compete in the 1,500-metre sprint on the track and on Sunday in the road cycling race. On Monday the 12th, he will compete in the cycling time trial uphill, and the following day he will get back on his bike for the individual time trial. Without a moment’s rest, on Thursday Colchero will compete as a duathlete in the sprint event, and on Friday he will run in the 5K night-time city run. His participation will conclude on Saturday the 17th with the trail run.

The athlete was welcomed by the city’s mayor and was accompanied by the deputy chief inspector of the Local Police, Alfredo Langa, before setting off on his journey.
