Firefighters from Huesca, winners of 20 medals, were welcomed at the Town Hall

Huesca Town Council has praised the achievements of the six firefighters from Huesca who won 20 medals at the eleventh edition of the European Police and Firefighters Games. The mayor, Lorena Orduna, welcomed five of the six participants at a ceremony held at the Colegio Imperial de Santiago, where she congratulated the athletes on a performance that has placed Huesca on the medal table at this international competition.

The representatives from Huesca returned with nine gold, four silver and seven bronze medals. Five of them are members of Huesca’s Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Service (SPEIS), whilst the sixth is a retired firefighter. The reception was also attended by the Councillor for Public Safety, Gemma Allué, other members of the municipal council and colleagues from the service.
