National police officers from León return with 19 medals

The national police officers from the León police station, Ángel Martínez, Héctor Pertejo and Javier Martínez, together with another national police officer from the San Andrés del Rabanedo police station, Isaac Mao, won 19 medals (nine gold, nine silver and one bronze) at the Games.

Ángel Martínez with four gold medals and two silver medals and Héctor Pertejo with two gold medals and two silver medals, both in individual and team events, in the 5K night and half marathon long-distance athletics events; as well as Javier Martínez with two gold medals and one silver medal in the road, time trial and endurance criterium events, all of them in cycling.

On the other hand, Isaac Mao won a gold medal, four silver medals and a bronze medal in swimming in his speciality of butterfly and breaststroke as well as in the relay events.
