Representatives of La Rioja (Spain) triumph with eleven medals in Jiu Jitsu

Three local police officers and one firefighter from the Logroño police force, one officer from the National Police and one from the Civil Guard of La Rioja, belonging to the Brazilian jiu jitsu club Itaca, won eleven medals last weekend at the tenth edition of the European Police and Firefighters’ Games held in Braga (Portugal).

In an edition with more than one hundred wrestlers of thirty nationalities, the athletes of the club from Logroño, led by coach Ciprian Bucatariu, won six gold medals, four silver medals and one bronze medal, both in the kimono and non-kimono categories.
