National Police officer Dori Alonso returned to Melilla with six medals

The athlete Adoración Alonso Lorenzo, known as Dori Alonso, put in an outstanding performance at the 11th European Police and Firefighters Games, held in Vigo. The National Police officer, based at the Melilla Police Headquarters, returned from the continental event with a total of six medals – four gold and two silver – representing the autonomous city and the police force.

Dori Alonso won four gold medals in the rope climbing, pull-ups, arm-wrestling and stair-climbing events. She added two silver medals to these successes: one in the five-kilometre night run and another in the mixed TCA, one of the most demanding events on the programme.
