A champion from recent editions is competing again in Vigo

Roberto Veiga from Mallorca, who has already taken part in the last two editions, is now aiming for eleven medals across eighteen events at the Games to be held in Vigo.

Counting all the world and European medals he has won in the police and fire service events, Roberto has amassed nineteen golds (all European), nine silvers (all European) and eleven bronzes (seven European and four world). In total, thirty-nine international medals won in just four major championships: the 2023 European Championships in Torrevieja, the 2024 European Championships in Braga, the 2025 World Championships in Birmingham and the 2026 Eurogames in Albi.

Veiga is one of the leading figures in Spanish swimming for police officers and firefighters, and his aim in Vigo is to reach fifty international swimming medals, adding to those already won at previous championships over the last three years.
