A French firefighter returned from the Games with nine medals

Among the participating athletes, the representatives from Fire Brigade 13 won several medals. Corporal Ilyes Tari stood out in particular by winning no fewer than nine medals: two European relay titles, as well as seven individual medals (four silver and three bronze).

Beyond the competition itself, the corporal particularly values the enriching exchanges: “It’s an opportunity to measure myself against athletes from other countries. The atmosphere is very friendly; it’s a competition with a relaxed spirit. The standard is quite good without being too high, which has allowed me to win quite a few medals.”

The EPFG remains, above all, a key platform for exchange, mutual support and cohesion amongst law enforcement agencies and emergency services across Europe. It is a unique opportunity to strengthen the bonds of camaraderie that unite those who dedicate themselves daily to the safety of citizens.
