The Mayor of Salamanca, Carlos García, congratulated the local police officers who participated in the 9th edition of the European Police and Fire Games. A participation that has ended with the conquest of 21 medals.
Seven of the 18 local police officers who made up the Salamanca delegation won nine gold medals, nine silver medals and three bronze medals in six different disciplines out of the nine in which they participated.
Specifically, sub-inspector Francisco José Cívicos won four medals in the night race and half marathon; sub-inspector Rubén Mena won two medals in these same two categories and sub-inspector Daniel Herrero won six medals in the road duathlon, night race and half marathon.
In addition, officer José Carlos Prats won three medals in the 3,000m steeplechase, long jump and 200m dash, officer Raúl Portilla three medals in the road duathlon and half marathon, officer Ángela Cámara two medals in the night race and half marathon and officer Manuel Romero one medal in the half marathon.
