Swedish local police officers participate for the first time in the Games

Officers of the swedish Local Police are participating this year, for the first time in the history of the Security Corps, in the European Games of Police and Firefighters.

The representatives of the swedish Local Police compete in various sports disciplines, such as IPSC (or police shooting), or Football, which has led the Swedish officers to face, in the first match, with colleagues from the Municipal Police of Madrid, the largest local police force in Spain, with more than 5,000 officers. Despite all this, the Local Police of Sueca managed to win the important victory by 3 goals to 1, in a match of ‘great intensity’. Other teams they have faced in these Games have been the Torún Fire Brigade (Polònia), the Ertzaintza and the Salamanca Local Police.
