Salamanca is taking part with a large contingent of local police officers and firefighters

The officers will take part in various sporting events, ranging from long-distance running and cycling to disciplines such as judo, swimming, tennis, equestrian sports and golf.

Athletics will be one of the disciplines with the strongest representation from Salamanca, with participants in the 5-kilometre and half-marathon races, as well as potential entries in the track events. There will also be representation in road and mountain cycling, duathlon, seven-a-side football, darts and pull-ups.

The event offers another opportunity for officers from Salamanca to put their fitness to the test and compete against professionals from other countries. In previous editions, representatives from the Local Police have achieved outstanding results, winning as many as twenty medals – a track record that gives cause for confidence in a strong showing this year too.

Representatives from the Fire Service will focus their participation on the road cycling and time trial disciplines.
